Park View City Lahore Flood 2025: Embankment, Relief Package and Latest Update 2026
At the beginning of 2025, one of my close friends made a major investment in Park View City Lahore. Coming from a middle-class family, they had spent years saving money for their future. Finally, they decided to invest their entire savings in a 5-Marla plot, hoping it would become a secure asset for their family. But only a few months later, in August 2025, their investment—and the investments of thousands of other residents—faced an unexpected crisis.
As the Ravi River rose during one of the most severe flooding events of the year, parts of Park View City Lahore were inundated. Reports from the time described floodwater reaching five to six feet in some areas, damaging houses, belongings and infrastructure.
For families who had invested their life savings in their homes and plots, the situation was devastating. Many residents were left worried about their properties, their belongings and, most importantly, the safety of their families.
My friend was no different. Like many other residents, they feared that years of savings and hard work could disappear in a matter of hours.
However, the story did not end with the flooding.
A New Flood-Protection Plan for Park View City:

Following the disaster, Vision Group, the Developer of Park View City announced a series of measures aimed at supporting affected residents and strengthening flood protection around Park View City. One of the major steps was the launch of a new protective embankment project. In September 2025, construction of the embankment was formally inaugurated, with reports describing the proposed structure as approximately 30 feet high. The project was presented as a long-term measure to provide greater protection to Park View City against future Ravi River flooding.
Alongside the flood-protection project, Abdul Aleem Khan also announced a PKR 1 billion relief package for residents affected by the flooding. According to reports, compensation was to be provided to affected residents, while two months of development charges were waived for five affected blocks as part of the relief measures.
By the end of August 2026, Park View City announced the completion of its protective embankment project, marking an important milestone in the society’s post-flood development and safety efforts. The management invited residents, investors, and real estate professionals to visit the site and witness the completed project firsthand. For residents who had just experienced the loss and uncertainty caused by the flood, these measures were intended to provide immediate financial relief while work began on a longer-term solution.
Would you still consider buying a plot in Park View City Lahore after the 2025 flood, or would the new flood-protection measures give you enough confidence to invest? Does the completion of the embankment change your confidence in Park View City—and could it influence property values in the future?”
We would love to hear your opinion. Share your thoughts with Karvaan92—because when it comes to property investment, sometimes the experience of other buyers can be just as valuable as the price of the plot.
